The Power of the Solar Plexus Chakra
Now you have a basic understanding of what Charka's do from the previous blogs about Chakras. Caring for our Chakras is part of self-care, as it relates to the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies that surround and are a part of us, known as our aura.
The Solar Plexus Chakra is known as Manipura and is represented by the symbol below.
Solar Plexus Chakra Purpose is about:

Now you can see why the Solar Plexus is such an important Chakra.
The qualities listed above are all about how we feel about ourselves, and what we put forth to other people. If we lack self-esteem or self-worth, chances are we give away our personal power and do things that we end up not really wanting to do. Or we lack the self-confidence to take the next step in our career, a relationship etc. Now you really see how having a weak or blocked Solar Plexus can really affect our lives.
The Solar Plexus Chakras mission is "I choose, I intend, I will."
What kind of clues do we have whether our Solar Plexus Chakra is out of balance?
Physical problems:

- Protect your Solar Plexus especially around those who intimidate you. Do this by crossing your hands or arms in front of your solar plexus, and / or slightly turn so your solar plexus is not under direct attack access.
- Release anger is a healthy way - a punching bag, screaming in the car (alone of course, lol), the shower or into a pillow.
- Open your awareness by putting yourself into the shoes of someone else (with an opposing opinion for example) and try to see the world through their eyes.
- Create a mission statement - what is your life really all about? What legacy do you wish to leave? Light a candle, have paper and pen ready, and start writing about what you would like people to say about you on your 80th birthday party. Then post it where you'll see it everyday.
- Build yourself a "Spirit Doll" - a doll that represents who you are, or who you want to be more like. (ex. Warrior, Leader, Mother, Goddess, Teacher, Entrepreneur ...) Have fun and use some old recycled craft materials, or stock up at the dollar store. Here is an example of my feminine Goddess. Remember we can make as many different dolls, as we like, all different ones that represent us. The key in making your own is to have fun!
When your Solar Plexus Chakra is in balance it will leave you feeling good about yourself, your self-esteem is high (but not overpowering or arrogant) that allows you to assume personal authority over you life, and take responsibility for your life.
